Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate– Hertford County is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate Position will be responsible for responding to emergency/non-emergency medical calls, assessing patients, providing life support treatment for persons (if required), extricating trapped victims from wreckage, stabilizing and treating injuries, transporting the sick and elderly to and from medical facilities/residences, preparing patient reports, and insurance carrier reports.
Must have a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid N.C. Driver's License, and shall be credentialed by the North Carolina Medical Board as an Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate and be able to advance in the certification level. EMT-I Starting Salary $28,460

Social Worker III Foster Care/Licensing/Adoption– The Hertford County Department of Social Services is recruiting for the following vacancy through June 30, 2010.

Day Reporting Center Director– Hertford County is seeking a Day Reporting Center Director to act as a liaison with other criminal justice agencies while overseeing the daily operation of the Hertford County Day Reporting Center. Responsibilities include managing programs, identifying needs, managing cases, maintaining records and preparing reports. Knowledge of County Criminal Justice System and general office procedures. Ability to develop and administer program standards and objectives outlined by the Criminal Justice Partnership Act and Local Advisory Board.
Graduation from an accredited College or University in the field of Social Services with human services experience. Must possess a valid NC Drivers license.
Salary Range $31,377-$48,635. Opened until filled.

Emergency Medical Services Director– Hertford County Emergency Medical Services is currently seeking applications for one full-time Emergency Medical Services Director. Duties will include supervisory, administrative and technical work in planning, organizing and directing the county's emergency medical services department.
Minimum Training and Experience: Associates degree in business, management or related field preferred, with 5 to 10 years experience in emergency medical services (including considerable supervisory experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Requirements: Certification by the NC Office of EMS at the EMT-Intermediate Level (Paramedic preferred); possession of a valid North Carolina's Driver's License; good physical agility and ability to perform duties; knowledge of ambulance billing systems (PREMIS), including Medicare, Medicaid and other insurances. Pre-employment background check and driving record check will be performed.
Salary Range: $38,139-$59,116. Deadline: Open until filled.
